Most of what you’ll find here will be about diet and exercise, because right now that’s the hardest thing for this basic bitch to master. Eventually you’ll find other subjects discussed because I’m only 89% BB.
Was I chubby growing up? No, but I wasn’t a waif either. As a young woman? A little. I had to work at my weight when my babies were young, and I discovered a love for running in my 30s.
As a middle-aged woman? DAMN. I’m not sure it’s middle age per se; life just got really, really, really hard in certain ways. Exercise and eating healthfully were not high on the list of priorities.
Middle age is full of humbling experiences, and those bring the gift of compassion. I’m sure I judged people far more harshly in my 20s and 30s than I do now, for everything from their failed marriages to their failed diets. I’m so un-unique in this (see also: basic bitch) that I even learned compassion for my arrogance.
I started Weight Watchers (again) on January 13, 2018. Other than running, it’s the only thing that has worked for me in the past.
